QR Code Scavenger Hunt

I was at Clemmons Elementary School last week when the 5th grade and Kindergarten were doing a QR Code Scavenger Hunt. I was able to watch the students and help out a little as they scanned their codes. It was a lot of fun.

Mrs. Caldwell's 5th Grade class and Mrs. Nealean's Kindergarten class partnered together and read the book Mrs. Greenberg's Messy Hannakkah by Linda Glaser. After reading the book, the 5th graders took their Kindergarten buddies around the school on a scavenger hunt looking for QR codes. Each QR code gave them a clue that lead them to the next location. They last clue asked for the author of the book and they had to go back to the classroom to see the book.

All the students really seemed to enjoy going around the school and using their different devices to read the clues. The clues took them to different rooms, helping the Kinders learn their way around the school.
